Matthew Bertron, Founder
Matthew Bertron is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent with 27 years of federal investigative experience, most of it spent in New York. During his career, he led and conducted complex criminal, national security, counterterrorism, and counterintelligence investigations, both domestically and internationally. His work has included violent crime, fugitive investigations, international kidnappings, art crime, and federal violations of interstate commerce. He is a former member of the FBI’s National Art Crime Team and Underwater Evidence Recovery Team, bringing a disciplined and methodical approach to every investigation.
Before joining the FBI, Matt worked as a professional journalist and editor, sharpening his ability to gather facts, assess credibility, and document findings with clarity and precision.
Credentials & Training
Matt holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Leadership from Georgetown University, a joint MBA/MA from New York University, and a BA from Fordham University. He is licensed as a New York State Private Investigator and holds advanced professional certifications, including the ASIS Triple Crown (CPP, PCI, PSP) and Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) designation with the International Association of Interviewers.
He has received specialized training in Executive and Dignitary Protection and is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
